This teaching kit is built around SHE MADE IT (2026), my new poetic rap song about love, migration, bravery and belonging.
The kit includes the full story behind the song, the complete lyrics, eight comprehension and discussion questions designed to open up the big themes — migration, identity, belonging, the political weight of an accent, what it means to celebrate in difficult times
— and a 12-prompt writing workshop that uses the song's own language as the spine of a student poem.
These poems can then be used to create one big collective group-poem representing the stories of the classroom.
